Absolute Self Defence began with a simple mission: help people feel safer, stronger and more confident through Hapkido training — in a welcoming, supportive environment where students can truly thrive.
Since 2018, we’ve supported countless children, teens and adults to develop practical self-defence skills, safety awareness, fitness and wellbeing, while building balance, coordination and resilience. For our younger students, we also focus on school preparation foundations such as gross motor development, core strength, social skills and self-regulation.
We believe consistency is powerful. Training regularly builds confidence, strengthens habits, and creates “muscle memory” that stays with students for life. Along the way, students also grow in leadership — with opportunities to step up through our Jidoja Leadership Program, where older students learn to guide, mentor and support others with kindness and responsibility.
Safety is at the heart of what we do. Our curriculum supports not only personal protection skills, but also community awareness and online safety, helping students make smart choices, set boundaries, and use their voice with confidence.
We train all year round at our full-time Dojang in Mt Kuring-gai, offering classes for children, teenagers and adults, with Hapkido as a key part of our martial arts curriculum.
